Tyler's climate is hot during summer when temperatures tend to be in the 80s and cold during winter when temperatures tend to be in the 40s. Temperature variations between night and day tend to be moderate during summer with a difference that can reach 21 degrees Fahrenheit, and moderate during winter with an average difference of 21 degrees Fahrenheit. The annual average precipitation at Tyler is 45.27 inches. Rainfall is fairly evenly distributed throughout the year. Tyler Transit System
  • The Tyler Transit System provides safe, dependable, low cost transportation service to the citizens of Tyler through the operation of a fixed-route bus system and a paratransit system for ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) certified persons. Service hours are Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Night service is available with advanced scheduling. Tyler's fixed route buses are also equipped with racks for bicycle transport.
Industrial Sites
Tyler Industrial/Business Park
  • The Tyler Economic Development Council (TEDC) has owned and managed 150-acres within the Tyler Industrial/Business Park since 1994 . The park is located at the intersection of west Loop 323 and Robertson Road and is occupied by a variety of manufacturing, office, distribution, and retail businesses. Approximately 105 acres of greenfield remain in the park, all zoned M-1 with the exception of the pad site in front of Hollywood Theaters. Although one of the available sites is strictly available for retail development due to its size and location, the TEDC aggressively promotes the majority of sites for manufacturing, distribution, and corporate headquarters and is very amenable to businesses that create a significant amount of new jobs and investment.
