Roses are an important industry here‚ and Tyler is home to the nation’s largest municipal rose garden featuring more than 38‚000 rose bushes and more than 50 varieties. The history of the Tyler rose industry and the Texas Rose Festival are highlighted at the Tyler Rose Museum.
Each spring‚ visitors and residents enjoy miles of azaleas‚ dogwood trees and spring flowers during the annual Azalea and Spring Flower Trail event – a floral wonderland and a photographer’s dream.
The region averages over 245 days of sunny weather each year‚ with average rainfall each year at about 43 inches.
The average high in July is 94 degrees Fahrenheit‚ and the average low in July is 71 degrees. The average high in January is 57 degrees‚ and the average low is 36 degrees.
