Skills Development Fund
The State of Texas offers this grant to assist companies by designing, financing and implementing customized job training programs in partnerships with public community and technical colleges for new or existing jobs in local businesses.
Enterprise Project Designation
A company may be nominated by a city or county as a State of Texas Enterprise Project. Designation by the state makes the company eligible for sales tax refunds and other tax incentives.
Tax Increment Financing
A company may fund infrastructure improvements for new job-generating investments by freezing taxation levels for a specified period of time.
Texas Enterprise Fund
The Texas Enterprise Fund is a state grant, established in 2003 and used to attract new business to Texas or assist with expansion of an existing business as part of a competitive recruitment strategy.
Self-Sufficiency Fund
The purpose of the Self-Sufficiency Fund is to provide training for employment opportunities primarily for at-risk individuals. A single business may be limited to $500,000 in grant money.
Training Programs
Colleges and universities in East Texas have numerous skill training programs that will support manufacturing and technical operations.
